California Wild berry?

Its got thorns on it. I think it's wild berry but I'm not sure?

I'm pretty sure berry vine leaves are edible, but wait for others to chime in.

Yea I went to reedley beach and dug it out. There's tone of it out there. I will try to take off most of the thorns. I do the same with the prickly lettuce

Here in Southern California we've always called something similar "Wild Blackberry" I have some along the back of our lot, between us and our neighbors. In the Spring they produce a small white flower before giving us a few rather small blackberries. The tortoises enjoy a few of the young, green shoots, but won't touch the mature greenery. Spoiled, I'd say.
