I had that however used it for Paxton. Can I use this? With or without the leaves? @Chefdenoel10
Yea… I don’t see why not?
Snails are very versatile and I like the dirt with those leaves. It says it’s mimicking a forest floor. So I think they’d like that.
Don’t call me an expert on snails though.!..
Every day I’m surprised that Gary is still hanging on!!!!
He is 6 now!!!😝😝
Holy 💩!!!

I had used those leaves on Gary and he stuck his nose up at them. After reading and searching why, it turned out you have to SOAK them. (At least mine you did).?

I'm picking up the substrate "creature" and the Galapagos moss. The person that I'm getting them from said not to use coco coir because it can cause an impaction.🤷

Then don't use sphagnum peat moss, just sphagnum moss.... what the heck? What is the difference.

He did recommend the same moss you are using so I'm picking that up too.

I will soak the leaves. And pull the stems off.

Is there anything else you think I need?

Impaction???
From coconut husks??
I thought that would be digestible???
Ok…ok…. Don’t use that then!!!
You can get a water dish as all animals need water …
Hang a plant or something they can climb?
He likes to climb he even slinks up the side of the tank!
But don’t go blowing your weeks pay check just yet….
Ge them on Sunday 😍😃
Put in what you have at the moment and you will instantly see what’s missing.
Trust me!

Water dish
Food dish
DEFINITELY NEEDS A CUTTLE BONE 🦴!!
(for calcium)

Now onto food….

Thank you. I bought an enclosure. I have shallow dishes I made from slate. I have plenty of lettuce and fruit. I also bought snail food.

What plants do you use? Real or fake?
Sorry for the many questions.

Also is a 12Lx8Wx6H (inches) good for 2 snails?

I miss typed. The guy said not to use coco fiber? This is confusing.

I know you aren't a snail "expert" however I just need information.

Ink,
You really have to read the labels on stuff too.
No “peat” moss ….or any additives in any animals substrate.
I had to read what they added to the coconut flooring too.
The “Peat” is for like.. a potting soil (plants).
It has nutrients in it to feed plants
You must look for stuff that is “ONLY”…..
Galapagos moss was just that ..
Coconut husk brick was jus that.
Do you get what I mean??

I use fake ones.
If I knew which REAL one to use and they were not toxic I’d probably go that way…
