As you know the forum is officially starting out on tiktok! It’s still all very new so we’re finding out feet with it, but a like, follow, comment or share would be SO appreciated!

Common keeping error; incorrect temperatures!
In this video I want to stress the importance of;
-keeping babies at appropriate temperatures, we all know adults can generally handle a temperature swing much better than babies, but even adults shouldn’t be repeatedly exposed to too low temperatures, particularly tropical species, temperate species can handle colder temps.
-the importance of measuring your temperatures accurately, not using analog gauges, using digital monitoring and a temperature gun suggestion
-babies need closed set ups to easier control your temperatures, some species benefit from closed set ups in general, red foots for instance who need constant warm temps day&night, closed tops help resting heat.
-the potential importance of a closed set up in particularly cold climates.
-Any tortoises outside need to either be brought in at night into an area where temperatures are controlled, or, a temperature controlled night box. @Tom I would be very grateful if we can link your night box threads in this
