No, they breed almost non stop during this time of the year anyway. Just more active and moving around.

She is approximately 15 years old.

Trimming her nails right now would not be a good thing. It's just about nesting season and she'll need them to help dig through the caliche. By winter time they'll be filed down a bit.

Yeah they need those nails in order to dig. My leopards would take days to make a nest if they had stubs instead of their nails.

The nails really aren't that bad, it just looks odd in the photo. She was headed one direction, but when she saw me she turned towards me (Since leopards are so personable :)) and I took the picture right as she was pivoting on her hind feet.

My post from last night didn't show up :(. Any how... Ok I see now what you mean... Makes sense. I have never been around an adult leopard so I had no idea :)

Haven't weighed her in a long time, but just less than 20 pounds. She's not very big, only about 10 3/4".
