Can someone say MAZURI FACE?!

Shortly after I posted the thread about RI, I went to check on Dash and he was chowing down on some breakfast.

It was the first time I've fed him Mazuri - so naturally, I had to snap a pic of his "Mazuri face"!!



Also, if you look beside his right eye, you'll see a piece of skin sticking up. It's not from a wound (or if it is, it only peeled off skin), but it got me to wondering...

Do Sulcatas and tortoises in general shed their skin? I tried to look it up but couldn't find any concrete evidence on it.

P.S. Oh yeah...the white on his legs is his weekly dose of Reptical. Yeah...he's a messy eater. :)

Yes they do shed small pieces of skin at a time. Anything more than a few flakes and I might start to worry.

Nothing like the Mazuri face, it's funny when it's really thick on there face....My older Sulcata shed a little when he was a hatchling,and I havent seen it again.
