Cannot reply to 'Conversation'

Hi all,

A new member who registered today sent me a message in 'Conversations'. However, I don't have the option to reply. Is there a condition (for e.g.: he must have posted at least once) that needs to be satisfied for me to be able to reply back to him?

Some new members don't set up the preferences correctly. They probably have it turned off.

It seems the person ticked the box 'Lock conversation (no responses will be allowed)' when creating the conversation.
