CHE housing

well Dezzi's tortoise table is coming along awesome! We stained it last night and applied water sealant on the inside.

My question is... I bought a MVB and a ceramic housing/dome for it has indicated on the box. I also bought a CHE and was planning on using that in your typical, none ceramic metal dome. After receiving my package the CHE box also states to use a ceramic dome. Is this necessary or can I use my current metal dome?

It depends on the wattage and heat if it needs the insulation or not. Just for the sake of safety I'd say to get another ceramic based one.
Make sure that the wattage stated on the fixture is equal to if not higher than your CHE.
