Hey all, setting up a more appropriate enclosure Sunday. I'm sure upgrading from 36"x18" to 48x96 I'll need more heat. I'm wondering if it's better to go with CHE or RHP for lightless heat.

While I'm asking about that I may as well ask how many lights I should try to run over my hot side at these dimensions.

Thank you all in advance. Have a great weekend.

What species of tortoise?
What type of enclosure and will it be completely enclosed with the heat elements inside?

Basking lamp you can use a 65 watt incandescent flood bulb raised or lowered to get desired 95-100 basking spot. U might get away with 2 100 watt che’s for the ambient temp depending on the ambient temps in the room its kept in.
