Chili leaves for star tort?

Is it safe to feed chili leaves to star tortoise? Specifically bell peppers and bird's eye chili(hot chili).

I hope this is ok for them. Running out of variety to feed my star tort dandelions and most weeds for then don't grow here. I've tried to buy seeds several times, and planted then several ways but still no luck.

If memory serves me correctly, chili, bell pepper, tomato, etc are all in the nightshade family and the leaves are toxic. So, no, its not safe to feed your tortoise chili or bell pepper leaves.
