Hey guys, came home today and Gordon had chipped off the center of his beak. He doesn't even seem to notice and has carried on as normal, but wanted to post here to see if I should take him to get it trimmed. He does have a terracotta saucer to eat off of and access to cuttlebone at all times.

If it were mine, I'd trim and shape it up a bit. 🙂

Ditto. Those points could get caught on things and rip as far into the soft tissue as the center part has. Keep a close eye on that center part for infection. I might even try to put a little Neosporin on it for a couple days.

A vet visit would be a good idea. A vet should be able to bond the two sides together to keep the split from getting worse/deeper.
