So i made my guys an outdoor enclosure since sunny weather is around the corner and i would like to have them exposed to the natural sunlight as much as possible :D but i'm worried for some predators :(. Right now what I do is cover the pen with some screen doors but I heard that unfiltered sunlight is best for them? In my area (from what I noticed) we have some squirrels around, some crows and some stray cats but that's about it, i've seen some possums but rarely and at night most of the time. My question is how bad can these predators get or just depends if they're desperate i guess? Can they smell or see tortoises from far away or something?

You could just cut the screen out and screw some wire mesh in it's place. Should find rolls of different types in the fencing or flashing area of your local hardware store.
