Good evening everyone!

I've been quiet because I've been a bit anxious after looking up my pensions. I am keeping track of three pensions including the state pension and I need to plan ahead. It's good to worry about it now instead of retirement age at 67 . I plan to carry on doing the job I love for as long as possible. I know I'll get something but I need to make sure it's correct amount

Personally I do not support censorship, by anyone for any reason. It is only ever done by the fearfilled because they are so scared. Throughout time Censors have justified with this excuse or that one but in the end, they are just scared like little children. Look at history, always the terrified who censor others. It's like they are broken on the inside where we can't all see it.

A great example of how to teach helplessness can by found on YT. A teacher does it with anagrams. Most folks don't realize they, me, we, are all the subject of the world's social experiments so you have to stay above the FRAY.


Kerry has a couple of early morning visitors stopping by. She doesn't know it but part of her family is stopping to celebrate her birthday this morning at 7am or so.

Lyn, so sorry to hear of your Holly tree. I hope the neighbors aren't unintentionally poisoning your tree. We have several and love the privacy they provide. Ours just finished dropping leaves too but there's lots of new growth. With hollies, they lose like every 15th leaf. That's it...the rest stay green but i think they do it a couple times a year but im not sure.

A meeting of vastly intelligent minds( Ray and mine) have determined that the pressure switch on my Well needs replacement. I looked and messed with it yesterday and it doesn't bring on the pump correctly. Woohoo...another thing breaks! Between the stuff Kerry breaks and the stuff that just wears out, i can't catch a break. LOL sob.

My anxiety is a little bit less sorry I shouldn't mention this and I shouldn't be mentioning pensions at all.

Oh, I didn't criticise your viewpoint. Just wanted to point out that there was no jail time involved. I think that the idea of censorship is different here in Finland.

Unfortunately there are a LOT of folks who have NO critical thinking skills that got us into the predicament we are in now. Remember . .you need to get the light on the inside (brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way), or injecting disinfectant (Bleach) as treatment

I hope you're feeling better now Natrah. I suppose being self employed it makes pensions etc. more complicated for you. Maybe your bank or building society can help or ask friends if they know of a trusted independent financial advisor.
I hope you don't stay away too long if you have a break. Whenever I'm stressed I find this a good place to let off steam amongst friends. We may not have any answers but we're all good listeners. Take care Natrah.

I know you all are. I did have some good news about the Teachers Pension and I thought I was going to draw one pension straight away but you have to plan these things.I felt a bit off-colour earlier but I feel better. Funny because my old would have found a criminal way around this.

Today I got a shot of evinity in each arm. After that I picked up my new reading glasses from the eye doctor.That was a nice reward for not crying and punching someone after getting stabbed twice. Evinity shots hurt. Tomorrow Mr Fre gets a bath and scalped again. I won't know him I really hope he doesn't bite his groomer though he's been really finicky with me. He probably won't. I'm the only one he thinks he controls

One way or another you WILL be just fine.
Yes, it was very smart of you to get ahead of the game by sorting this situation out now rather than later. Some things you just have to be in a mood or a zone like state to concentrate on otherwise (like me) you’ll put them off till your 109!!!

Good morning my friends!

Cathie and Chef I won't be going anywhere. I'm sorry about this it's been a very up and down week. In the last week I have learnt a lot more of what I paid into than I have for the last thirty years. In a nutshell I paid into one company as self-employed for thirty years. The other one was a work that I paid into for about fifteen years before I had to leave. Unfortunately on Monday I only had time to check the self-employed pension out before going to teach and I panicked. The second one I phoned yesterday and now I'll be okay. The third one is the state pension which Lyn and Angie know and I can check this. There are a few holes in this and I know I can pay it. This is the problem chasing all these pensions and at one time being self-employed and PAYE. I also had therapy for mild/moderate anxiety/depression the year after dad passed away in 2019.

I had been caring for him with Alzheimer's and the house (my home) had to be distributed as it was part of his estate. Anyway it's best to worry about pensions now rather than five years time when I reach retirement age.

PS: Chef and Lyn at least my former criminal neighbour has of not worrying about his.

PPS: The financial advisor yesterday told me I could draw my pension when 115 so I said yes my tortoise can do it for me !

Scary stuff isn't it? Not knowing for sure that we won't be forced into eating cat food or some other horrible existence. I am very happy to see it is beginning to make sense for you. I was terrified too!

I get a small pension from the Plumbers Union and in the US we have Social Security which is funded via deductions from our pay over our entire careers but the amount received is only based on the last 35 years of work.

I also have a retirement savings account that we call a 401k. It's basically a self funded account which is untaxed until you withdraw from it. It will be enough.

It sounds like you have multiple income streams which will serve you well in the future.

The other thing is to try to plan to pay much less in taxes! In other words, because I can regulate how much I withdraw each month from my 401k account, I can plan to be just under the income level where we would be taxed at 22% threshold. You may have a similar situation over the pond.

Ok....yesterday Kerry turned 60 and is now officially the oldest girl i ever dated! I gave her a birthday card and in it i promised that her rate of $9.99 would never go up, nor can she ever be cancelled.

We dropped off the tax docs on Tuesday to get our taxes filed. Yesterday I get an email from them telling us we are getting back several thousand dollars. My 1st thought was " Dang, he copied Kerry".

Any husband reading this will know what i felt. LOL

It's just that wives are like black holes to money......it gets sucked in if it gets anywhere near the event horizon!
