When Edward is in his outdoor enclosure I check on him constantly (even setting alarms to check on him) mostly because I fear him escaping. Thankfully I can see most of his outdoor enclosure from a window!
I do the same with setting an alarm daily for Sapphire in the summer. He never gets left outside overnight. It's impossible for him to escape but I still check on him while he's outside because he's really good at getting himself in trouble 😵‍💫 😉

It's funny to me guys. You are all talking like you get 1 Robin. We have 5-9 in the yard at any given time all summer.

So the other day I got bummed. I completed the enclosure for Matt without cutting my lawn robots perimeter wire and all I wanted to do was to lay in the hottub and watch it cut the grass.

I started the machine and it drove 100ft before stopping. A squirrel had bitten through the wire WHILE IT WAS RUNNING. Dang.....it stopped in place and had to be carried back to its house.
Kerry saved the day for me though...yes that's her with the push mower!

I get lots of robins now also. My yard somehow became a bird heaven when I planted a big old true Crab apple tree in my front yard. It's funny in the spring when they're all doing their thing making the world go round 😊

The European Robin has been around, with the name "robin" for many hundreds of years, before the settlers came to America a few hundred years ago, and saw a bird with red on his front, which reminded them of their robins in Europe (though if you check up, you will find there is no other visible resemblance). So I think our robins definitely came first, and therefore are the "proper" bird !

Dear Cathie and Angie,

In Malaysia we used to get the Magpie Robin which is quite spectacular.

PS: Last night at rehearsal my friend confirmed Jacky and Jacky is looking forward to the vegetable patch.

I had that issue with Mr Fre's vet today. But I had a better experience than you in the long run. His prescription for revolution will be about $50 less. What's weird is she used to recommend chewy and is the person that recommended them in the first place. She also told me that that information is coming from higher ups in the system. They also don't like the vitamin mixes for homemade dog food. She said dogs are getting a new form of kidney and bladder stones that are being connected to them. She said save my money and just fix my homemade dog food and do what I'm doing. I was thinking that Zero Pilot was right and followed his example of using way less than what is recommended though anyway. So all that is pretty interesting. Maybe those vitamins can cause stones when overdone. I think vitamins should be used in a low dose anyway. Not megadoses ever. That's for people too. A good diet of real food. Maybe a little supplement too.
Well, over the years there has been a push for "Grain Free Diets for dogs". My Vet, and Woodies Cardiologist both asked what I was feeding then. They Both did NOT like grain free, and the foods high in legumes are considered bad, (connection between dog diets rich in legumes and an increased incidence of canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)).
Since my Dr. was worried about osteoporosis, I have been taking Generic Fozamax (once a week), a calcium, D-3, Glucosamine / Chondroitin , and a multi Vitamin once a day.

I kind of followed the recipes for homemade dog food from Azestfor and still do. I had to do 1/3 ground meat, 1/3 white rice and 1/3 veggies however because Mr Fre wouldn't eat the food made like their recipes. There's too many carbs and it's not the consistency he likes. He still likes chunks of food. He's really picky about his hair and likes to be very neat while he eats and drinks. I explained exactly what I do with his homemade and his vet said he's getting everything he needs. She loves that I also finally found a dry food he'll actually eat now so he gets some of both. She was really happy with his diet. He gained about 1 1/2 lbs so he's 11lbs now. I'm getting evinity infusions and taking bone meal calcium, d3 soft gels and a multi vitamin. I'm afraid of fozamax but all of them can be harmful. I've come to the conclusion that I have to take one of them at least because I break bones. So I'd rather do that then break more bones. Even if it helps just a little it'll be better than nothing.

Jeff keep watching your robins. I hope you've already gotten to see their mating dance. I got to see our American robins once doing that... It was beautiful to watch. It's so orderly, precise and majestic that it's like watching a royal marriage in the UK.😊I🤗🙏 you get to.🤞

I'll have to look that one up now just to see. Isn't it amazing how many beautiful birds there are.😊

We have a Bird here called the mockingbird. They're also black and white. They have a beautiful morning song and they also mimic other animals. They seem like the magpie robin.

Ya, the Mockers here are on a roll. I had one earlier sitting on a power line, JUST SINGING HIS HEART OUT. With my parrots, I love a beautiful song they and the wild birds sing....
And the Mockers, black and white, when they are sitting you don't see the white, till they open their wings up, then it's like racing stripes....

Good morning everyone!

I have got back in touch with a group of old school friends in Sabah, Malaysia and they are saying that they have had days of rain plus a power cut. Not funny when you're trying to work in 32 degrees Celsius without air con or fans .

Have you gotten to hear their song in the early morning before daylight? It's so beautiful. The first time I heard one singing their song I couldn't figure out what it was. I think I read later that they keep gaining 🎵 notes as they age until they have their own song 🎵🎵🎵🎵

Good evening everyone!

What was meant to happen:

I was meant to clear Jacky's enclosure, bring her in before washing up and settling down in front of the TV.

This is what actually happened:

I cleared Jacky's enclosure, brought her in and then I noticed a leak so I put her in the enclosure before rushing to grab the soaking tray. I put Jacky in the tray in the tray, cleaned the enclosure, put Jacky in, cleaned the soaking tray, cleaned myself (put my clothes in the laundry), turned the TV on late and missed washing up!

Here's another wood pecker that visits my crab apple tree now and then. Isn't he lovely 😊 I'm always happy to see him. Sapphire hasn't been able to go outside for a few days. I have a hard time this time of year because of that. Some days I can and some I can't. I wish I could take him out everyday but some days are just to cold still. I have to tell him no and I hate that. Summer is coming up fast though 😊 yeah IMG_20260509_172404749.jpg
