The first cockroach I ever saw indoors was in a room at a cheap hotel in New York !
I am pleased to say I have never encountered any in the UK,and hope I never will!

Yes Angie….
There are billions of cockroaches in NY…
That’s for all the RATS 🐀 to eat! 🤣

Unless you happen to see the rats eating a pizza which they have been known to do.
They too are almost as big as raccoons 🦝!!
Could you imagine?????!

Enjoying the banter...
today we rest...yesterday Kerry and i laid the new wire around our back yard ...about 500ft...and pulled out the old wire and threw it away. That was 2 hours of hard work but the new cable is going to cause dental issues if the squirrels try to bite it! LOL
After a rest I mounted my new pressure washer pump and cleaned the north side of the house, her car canopy and the kayaks. Whew! Of course I forgot to do the two large storage bins full of outdoor cushions and house generator so I'll have to drag it out again.

It's the 8th spectacular day in a ROW we have had! There must be a glitch in the Matrix!

Well, I watched a video from Japan, I believe. It's about Murder Hornets and the people that hunt them.

To make . . . Suzumebachi Sake, THAT will get your juices flowin, you betcha!

I couldn't eat any insects, or invertebrates not even for a £1000000 - makes me sick just to think of it.🤢
I suppose I may have accidentally swallowed the odd fly if I was cycling or canoeing and talking at the same time, but they are strictly off the menu!!

I've had a busy day fence painting but think there's more on me than the fence. I also did a little bit of gardening. It's been overcast but dry today so nice to be out in the fresh air.
Lola is having a very quiet day
He didn't leave his hide until about 3pm and only ate a small amount before heading back in again. I'll be keeping a close eye on him.

I'm going to see what's in the freezer for my tea now - it certainly won't be insect based! 😀

Good afternoon/morning all.
The rain and high winds are back again after yesterday's respite.

Thankfully Lola is much more active and eating well - he must have just had an off day yesterday.....happens to us all.

I keep starting lots of chores today but getting bored and easily distracted so not actually finishing anything so I need to give myself a good talking to.

Better try to finish something so TTFN.

The crunchy part is the thorax!

( I shouldn’t laugh… I have never eaten them either. The saying above was said somewhere I can’t remember but I always liked the line.)

Good morning everyone!

Cathie I'm just letting you know that I saw a pair of Long-Tailed **** flying over the flat for the first time ever. These birds are small with long forked tails and they are black, white and pink!
