My tortoise Mack hasn’t pooped in several days. He’s a Speke’s Hingeback. I don’t track his bowel movements (although I definitely should and will here on out), but I know he hasn’t gone in a while since I clean out his poo.
Five days ago I have him a bath but he didn’t poop like he usually does, and he STILL HASNT GONE. He usually goes every four days or so, but it’s been about 6 or 7.
Any advice? Should I take him to the vet, give him another bath in hopes he’ll go (since the water helps him poop), or wait a day before jumping to action?
Also, there has been no recent changes in his diet or schedule
For background info on diet and his enclosure:
Diet: leafy greens such as collard greens, mustard greens, kale and romaine lettuce; sliced up carrots; occasional squash (every couple weeks)
He also has a pinch daily of his daily calcium powder and a pinch a week of vitamins.
He has water that he drinks when thirsty
Enclosure: terrarium with large water trey (large enough for him to sit in comfortably), food trey, hide (which he loves to sleep in), heating pad and UV/heat lamp for a basking area, mulch-like substrate
