The spelling is a little off but I'm sure he gets all the ladies. :D

I bet it does throw everyone off. I dont know how many times I've been talking to people and I think they're talking about their kids and then the dog comes around the corner and they call its name lol.

Haha, me too. We are in a very ethically diverse area, so a lot of times I have instances where I think they are talking about a place or animal, but turns out to be their child.

I helped one of my buddies put together a very large collection of these guys over the last 14 months. I know he was able to find a few C. z. alfredchmidti from a lady who was selling her entire collection here in Socal.

Here are a few pictures. I wish I kept a few of them :(.

I had one for a while back in the 90's. He did well for me, but his enclosure was right next to my bed and his nocturnal proclivities kept waking me up all night. I finally gave him to a friend.

They were from a bunch of different people. A lot of people own one or two of them. They live a long time so like tortoises, they become part of the family and are rarely offered for sale. I know of a few people that have huge colonies of them and some of those people keep all their babies.

I had no idea there were so many! May I ask how many you were able to get total?

Just added a few more Pothos plants to the top of their enclosure. Within seconds he ate all the leaves that came through the screen. They never seem full

Nice picture. We acquired about 24 all together. They are rare because few people have sucess breeding them qnd they produce so few offspring.

You should do a post with each locale and explain the differences. That still confuses me.

How many babies do you expect to produce this year?

For some reason my bred in March, so I am expecting babies in December sometime. I have them on constant day/night cycles and temp, so they probably didn't realize what season it was anyway. The females are getting plump though!

Sorry for the typos, I am on my phone

This is what I have read, but it changes each time I do more research.

C.z. alfredschmidti has bright green head, slender body, yellow iris, and brown body with banding.
C.z.zebrata (Isabel) large body with dark brown eyes, olive colored head, pronounced banding across olive green body (most popular)
C.z.zebrata (Mailaita) large body with olive/dark yellow eyes, very solid olive color with more broken banding Super AGGRESSIVE!!
C.z.zebrata (Guadalcanal) smaller compared to the other regions, has more of an olive color with a "rusty" hue on head and body is very contarting from bright green to brown with scattered black scales.

I believe I just received a female C.z.alfredschmidti, now got to find a male :))
