okay so the daytime outdoor enclosure for my sulcata has tons of crickets crawling around at late afternoon into night time. how do i get rid of them?? sizes range from teeny tiny to about an inch. ive started moving my sulcata into her overnight box every night so i'm hoping they aren't bothering her for the few hours they are together. they aren't just in the enclosure either, all over my porch, my steps, my planters. i used to have an issue with ants when it was hotter but they are all gone. now, its crickets! i don't really want to kill them but if they're harmful to her i will!!! anyone know how to relocate them?

Crickets will chew on other critters if they get the chance, I would be careful. I don't know quite how to get rid of them without using some pesticide or loosing a bunch of lizards onto your property >.> I dunno maybe someone else has a better idea. But I do know that when they bite other animals the bites can get infected really easily >.< just be careful, usually if they have another source of food available they won't chew on living things just be wary of their foodsource getting low.

I had the same problem with my DT enclosure. I started dumping out my water and food dishes before dusk and that helped. I also have quite a few black widows in there... I know, eek. But they eat the crickets and other bugs and leave the DTs alone so we have a peace treaty going, the widows and I.

Once, The crickets chewed my Tokay gecko instead of being eaten by the gecko. Good thing i saw it earlier before it can do more harm to my gecko. They will attack if they get hungry.. Just be carefull and good luck.
