hi , what's the best for our little dexter (8 mth old) . Shave bits off and put it on his food or just put a whole one in his enclosure ? Thanks

I keep cuttlebone in the enclosure for them to nibble, and occasionally lightly dust repti calcium with d3, and reptivite on their food.

You can put a whole cuttlefish bone in the enclosure, some tortoises will devour them, some nibble on them, some seem to touch it only when they need to and others won't touch it at .
I scrape a little onto the food once or twice a week.
