So I get an offer for some of them. The guy say it is cyclemys atripons pulchristriata. But this don't exist. There is cyclemys pulchristriata and C. atripons. Is there anyone who knows anything?
Also Im not an expert in identify sexes of terrestrial turtles. So maybe a specialist could help me. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1405439539.859971.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1405439552.425744.jpg

I'm not a Cyclemys expert by any means, but those don't look like males.

The TTPG has a member that specializes in breeding Cyclemys atripons. You can contact them through ttpg.org of more info. If you purchase their 2013 Batagur Magazine, it has an article by the atripons specialist regarding captive husbandry and breeding of the species.

Really a nice color and marking. Even just from the plastron.

Okay thank you for the info. On the side I don't find any email adresse to contact anyone?
Hi!
In the book I checked these to species are subspecies of C. atripons, so there are C. atripons atripons and C. atripons pulchristriata. So I have the latter. Waiting for your decision, thanks.

That's his answer. But I looked in my book and atripons hasn't got a subspecies... I have to wait to get some photos of the hole turtles.
But atripons should you be the same as pulchristriata.

Some pics here. Maybe now it's easier to identify.

Soooo Saturday a pair of C. pulchristriata will arrive. The photos which I showed you were from a unserious seller who want to sell without paperwork so I didn't buy from him. I find a new serious seller from the middle of Germany who sells his pair. They are fresh adult (lay eggs last year) and they aren't WC. They are CB from 2007 ( hope that's right...) Nice. I'm a big Cyclemys fan. The genus is in a bit of disarray but these would be Cyclemys pulchristriata.

Atripons and Pulchristriata are from southern Vietnam/Cambodia with Atripons being found more towards the west (Cambodia) and Pulchristriata more so in the east (Vietnam). Some consider them the same while others consider them separate species.

Thank you. I'm more the hingeback fan but I saw the offer with the pulchristriata and I think it is important to start breeding them before we get a forbade for new animals. Also there aren't much animals in here.
