Damaged shell! Help.

Hi everyone, Munchkins been digging and has hurt his shell.
Hes all scratched up and theres blood under thr surface (hes not bled at all through his shell).
Been having different opinions off other tortoise groups on whether he needs the vet or not..
Any advice would be appreciated,

That's just normal wear and tear on a carapace. That is why the wild ones look smoothed to and polished when compared to a pampered captive grown tortoise.

I wouldn't go to the vet for that.

Thankyou Tom, its the bruising i was quite bothered about.. Hes usually all scratched from digging but not usually bruised.. Thankyou again for replying

Hes doing much better now Thankyou, theres hardly any blood under the surface anymore.. Quite surprised to be honest,
