Hello,

I’ve just noticed some damage to the underside of my 10 year old Horsefield’s shell.

His behaviour hasn’t changed and is still eating and active all day. He climbs a lot and does fall, but this seems like an odd place to damage from a small height and a soft landing.

I’m not sure how long it’s been like that since I don’t look at the bottom of his shell too often does anyone have any advice one what to do?

Thanks, Brodi

Just keep an eye on it to be sure it doesn't get worse. Probably nothing but rubbing on something or maybe he took a hard landing on something.

It's old, healed and not a problem.

What's he climbing and falling in and on?

He climbs over his house/ sleeping area and his tunnel when he’s in his enclosure. Both are made of wood and are not much taller than him so not a large fall, it’s on a thick layer of sand substrate and bedding material so pretty soft.
