Thing is when I put him outside, he tends to hide under the pile of dead grass I have for him. Is this because he doesn't feel safe?

How old is he? Also, during the hottest part of the day they will hide. My leopard is over two and he has lots of cover and he will spend the better part of the day hiding under the weeds and flowers.

he is just short of 2 years. He munched on some lettuce this morning and then went straight to the pile of grass. There are other hides in there, but he doesn't care for them. Temps are reaching low to mid 20's (celsius), so doubt it is too hot...

when I checked on him he felt warm to the touch, so he must have been in the sun at some point. Who knows!
