Did this site get hacked?

no virus involved. all he did was change the homepage. a couple upgrades later and we're good to go

go to the top of this page, find the tortoiseforum.org link on the left side of the page, click, itll take you to a page w/ all the different topics, find which one you want to post on (sulcata station, DT's, hermanns, etc., and click on it, on the next page youll find a link at the top right of the page that says "new thread". now your ready to go to start your own thread. im pretty new too, just passing on the help i got when i was lost and didnt know where to look. smiles, a mom to a sulcata named galileo. spring

Yup def. a hack, seen it a few times now. The bigger peoples sites get the more likely you are to get hacked, sad but true, good thing its fixed now.

Seems this hacker messed with the index page of over 8000 sites. He had it set on an automatic set up that attacked the weaknesses in some software programs. Yes that is illegal. Hopefully someone will catch him and prosecute him to the max. But what he did do was identify some weaknesses in the forums he hacked. But now that the upgrades have been made hopefully that won't happen again. And it was a good thing he didn't attach a virus or Trojan to the hack.
