Would a Russian tortoise and a Testudo Graeca Ibera tortoise ever cross paths in the wild? When doing research the majority of countries they live in are different, but there is a common one, Iran. For the Ibera it specifically says Western Iran. I was just wondering if anybody knew if they might meet naturally at some point or another? I have a Russian and an Ibera and I keep them separately and do everything I can to reduce cross contamination but just as a point of interest would they carry significantly different pathogens?

Are they wild caught or captive bred? How long have you had them?

Both are captive bred and they will stay apart for their whole lives, I will never introduce them to one another ( I don’t agree with mixing species or keeping tortoises in pairs) . I was more talking hypothetically about ones in the wild and about their natural range if they would ever naturally meet/cross paths :)
