Can I ask you a quick question?
Are you able to feed sulcata tortoises the pulp of juiced leafy greens and other fruits & vegetables?
We just started to use a juicer and I thought maybe...they could eat it?
Does anyone know if its okay?

Not too much fruit, but the veggies and greens would be ok, as long as there was still 'normal' foods in the diet.

the pulp that's left over when the juices extracted should be ok as long as it's fed sparingly that way it doesn't go to waste

You can feed the pulp of some veggies if you mix it in with other greens or grass clippings. I would not feed the pulp alone, I would not feed fruit pulp, and I wouldn't let this be too big of a percentage of the overall diet.

And hello and welcome to the forum.

Thank you all for the advice on the veggie pulp. I will make sure it is limited and when given mixed with hay grass. And thank you for the welcome!

What other food items from the grocery store does anyone else use to feed their tortoises? We live in a small town and it is hard to locate food sources other than our grocery store. Thank you.

Mustard greens, kale, collard greens, dandelion greens. You should look at the diet section of the forum so your tortoise is receiving all of the nutrients necessary to thrive.

I feed a lot of collard greens because my bearded dragons eat it too. I also feed dandelions from the store and my front yard because frank has already eaten all the weeds in the back yard. I have also fed kale too. But j really like collard greens to feed them he grazes on grass all day too usually

With juicing, some people add things to it. Protein powder, whatever. Make sure you don't have any of those additives. And the easiest way to feed a tort is to grow it! It is super easy and even if space is limited you can grow a plethora of food. A lot of the tort safe seed mixes grow quickly... you would be surprised.
