I purchased repti zoo basking spot lights and 150 watt ceramic heat emitters.
Has anyone tried dimmers on either of these products?

Generally, they should both work with dimmers. Are you thinking of dimming thermostats, or dimmers to just dial in the output?

@Alex and the Redfoot are these a true spot bulb or another confusing name?
ReptiZoo has three lines of basking lamps, beam angles aren't specified. I wasn't able to find power density charts, so can only speculate about intensity basing off Temperature-Distance tables.
1. Intense Basking Spot, frosted coating, spot lights
2. Beam Spot Light - frosted coating, seems similar to ExoTerra Intense Basking Spot in terms of power distribution
3. Neodymium Daylight - clear coating, spot lights.
I wouldn't use neither of three for tortoises.

Almost every reptile bulb says “spot” on amazon.
What basking bulb do you recommend?
