Hide and sleep is what they do most of the time. Not eating is not good. But for the first 1-3 days can be a stress from environment change. Correct temperatures are crucial, too.

Found such tents. I think a kiddie pool wouldn't be safe since we do have two cats, and they're just eww.

Check if there are models with windows (for example, Vivosun makes them) as most grow tents are completely opaque.
