Just bought a mega ray 120 watts mercury vapor bulb. Now how many inches away should it be from the carapase of my baby Star which is about 1.5 inch?

It usually tells you on the package how far from the floor of the habitat to adjust the light.

It says a minimum of 12 inches from carapase but I want to be sure as Stars are more sensitive
