I don't like the look of those gouges in the middle, or the pitting by the hind legs. It looks like it may be mechanical injuries (rock scrapes, etc.) or maybe a bacterial form of shell rot.
I agree with Mark. The radial striations from the umbilical area are normal but the pitting of the one humeral and femoral scutes (although that may be light reflection) look like shell rot & should be treated.
Crap, I was worried about that :\ I'll get him into the vet.
What can I do in terms of changing his environment, now and following treatment? (Honestly the humidity is often very low, even with daily misting... so it being shell rot surprises me.)
The only rocks in there now are large smooth pebbles so I dunno if they're scrapes.

I agree, I've seen a couple of "Northeners" that looked like this and had an early state of shell rot. And what surprises me here is that if you look to the middle left, and right too, but it's more visible to the left. It's kind of starting to be green ? Does anyone know if this is normal for "Northeners" to be yellow/green or if this is related to an early state of shell rot ? Cos the ones I've seen had this greenish too and they had shell rot for sure ! Just a thought...
