After reading many treads I belive that introducing larger females to smaller males is important for the well being of both individuals. I introduced Irie 6" with Tortuga 5" together and Irie is large enough to keep from being terrorized from tortuga. So, in my opinion if you introduce a female with a male make sure the female is larger, Jack

I think having enough space, lots of hides, etc is probably a bigger factor. My male is really obnoxious, but he is about 2 inches or more smaller than my female. He still manages to follow her around nipping at her heals and pestering her - but she has plenty of places to go to get away from him when she wants to. I think having 2:1 ration or more would also help - so the single male has more options to spread his 'love' and the girls get more of a break from him...

When their outside she has the space to get away, but when its to cold outside or night and they're in their table is when her size matters.

My male is 5" and my female is 6.5", and I still had to separate them into separate indoor enclosures after he gave her some nasty bites, including one on the face. Her size doesn't seem to matter, she just lacks the instincts to defend herself.
