Does this orchard hay look right?

I had to order orchard hay from TSC as our local one doesn't carry it.

It says on the label it is orchard hay but it is sure stemy or is it just because its the edge?

presumably this thread is about hay to feed the tortoise, not for use as a substrate.

Yep, mine looks like this too and I get a different brand then this.

The first picture look almost like straw. The second pic looks like orchard grass hay, but it's very coarse. Must be from late season more mature plants.

It's for feeding a sulcata.

I thought it looked terrible too. I checked the bag multiple times to see if it was labeled right.

I returned the orchard hay and picked up a new one. It's much better looking. I have some soaking overnight and they will get it sprinkled on cucumber tomorrow.
