Supplements can be helpful but you have to be careful on 'Too Much' supplements. Once a week is probably all that is needed. If you are keeping your Sulcata outside, then I would suggest not giving him a supplement with D3 in it because he'll get that naturally with the sun. If you feed them the correct diet they also do not really need the calcium either. As for the grapefruit extract for ridding Salmonella, just wash your hands after handling and let your tortoise have what is natural in their system. This is all IMO of course
