Yeah I love the pictures. At first, I thought the black and white were fantastic...but then viewed more and they were all great loved the book in the background too...very creative
A few more pictures of baby Douglas. Had him 4/5 weeks now. I think initially he had been kept quite dry by the reptile shop that he was bought from. After daily soaks and proper hydration with us, his shell seems to be filling out a bit. He's gone from 30g to around 45g - no change length-wise but his shell seems a bit taller!
Sleeping under his basking spot
Love his little tongue when he's eating
Here he's proper getting to grips with his food!
Grumpy morning picture, coming out of his hide..
This is my 3 year old 'niece' helping us with a soak
A little hand-feeding after his soak
This was just yesterday, poking out of his new tunnel[/size]
Hi all.. Was just looking back through my old posts, and realised I'd started this thread over two years ago!
Been occupied with our own human baby for the last 14 months, so haven't visited the forums much!
I think I'll update this with some newer photos of Douglas for anyone interested! He's doing great in his outdoor enclosure, filled with coco coir. I replace his MVB every 6 months, and still give him a warm soak every morning (he seems to like this - he walks towards me as soon as I take his dish out to re-fill it!).
I haven't got too many recent pics (working two jobs and having a child takes up a lot of time!), but here's a couple of our 14 month old 'admiring' Douglas. He loves him, always runs to his enclosure shouting 'Doug Doug'. I'm just in the process of building an outdoor enclosure, which should be ready in a week or so... He's rapidly outgrowing this tortoise table!
Awww, they sure do grow up fast, don't they? What a darling little guy!! I love all your photos; you have found a way to enhance tort baby cuteness, which is already amazing! He is just too cute in the photo where he's passed out under his heat lamp. You can never post too many pictures. Just curious, did you name him after Douglas Adams?
