the last poop was soft, but not liquidy. i think you can compare it to soft/hard tofu? yesterday she didn't poop at allNo more diarrhoea?![]()
Ok that’s a good improvement still! It’s telling me this is as we thought likely diet related. I wouldn’t worry too much just yet, keep up with her soak routinethe last poop was soft, but not liquidy. i think you can compare it to soft/hard tofu? yesterday she didn't poop at alli'm worried about her urates, they're back to being a bit gritty. still soft though, imagine toothpaste with a few pinches of fine sand
Looks pretty good to me!nice urate, harder but still a bit soft poops! some diarrhea too (?) it's a mix of both.
left for class early today. i put down her food and didn't hand feed her. it's her good old endive frisée mix. she... didn't eat. haha. it's okay. she's gone a week without eating many times.
update 2: i got hired! it's a small, remote job that my parents allow me to work. the pay is horrible, the work is akin to freelance, but it's okay since i can afford tortoise stuff now![]()
Yes, she could eat a piece or two on accident. It should not pose a problem.hi, today i saw her pull her food from her bowl down to the substrate. i use orchid bark, could she accidentally eat it? i'm not there 100% of the time to watch her eat, i'm worried that she eats the substrate.
here is a picture. i don't usually feed her on the substrate, but instead over slate. however since she drags as she walks, she pulls substrate wherever she eats too![]()
thank u!Yes, she could eat a piece or two on accident. It should not pose a problem.
Maybe @Tom can explain this.why are her urates like 95% soft and healthy, then there are random hard parts?
do you think anyone else could explain?Maybe @Tom can explain this.
Because this thread is older and has so many replies it’s possibly getting overlooked, you could make a new one, briefly describing her temperatures, humidity, diet and see if we can get some fresh eyes on the situationdo you think anyone else could explain?i've been looking around but i'm not sure why. her poops got less watery when i took out cucumber. so i'm afraid to add it back in for hydration (for healthy urates). is hydration still the issue? i'm so confused

aww... my precious long threadBecause this thread is older and has so many replies it’s possibly getting overlooked, you could make a new one, briefly describing her temperatures, humidity, diet and see if we can get some fresh eyes on the situation
I knowaww... my precious long thread![]()
true trueI knowI mean there’s still no guarantee folks will know for sure what’s exactly happening with your girl here, I think the thing is, everything is such a fine balance, all aspects of care work hand in hand to have everything running smoothly, sometimes if one this is thrown off it can knock other things out of whack
I think if you post definitely mention she’s passed a small stone, and that worries you considering humidity is fine and she’s kept hydrated, it’s got me a bit stumped, but it can be so tricky evaluating what’s going on over a screen![]()
I wouldn’t get yourself too worried, you have to remember overall she’s doing so much better than all those previous years she wasn’t receiving the best care, you’ve come a long way with everything you do for hertrue trueif only i could bring her over...
she's clearly hydrated because her most recent poo was still soft... i don't know![]()
