Eating a mouse!

I can not even watch the video and THANK you for letting us know it was gruesome....I have heard that they can absolutely eat mice and such....but my little ones will not be partaking of the mices.....ewwww.:p

Ya I didn't know they ate mice! I knew they ate worms and such (fed my Russian a meal worm two days ago) but not furry little critters!!! I have been obsessed with Red Foots lately and have been doing tons of research and came across this! I think I'll stick with the Testudo's :) Even tho Cherry Heads are amazing :(

I've owned mice and rats in the past so I could never imagine feeding one to my redfoots...

Still, that redfoot is gorgeous!

I feed mice to my redfoots, hingebacks, box turtles, and the Asian box turtles. Some love them and some will not touch the mice at all. It's nice because we buy rodents for the ball python, but often in the winter KC goes on hunger strikes. Rather then trashing the rodents, it's nice to have the tortoises and turtles as backup consumers.

Mine love mice. I offer them f/t mice it rats once in a while. They go crazy.
