Eating fruit?

My russian tortoise is 1 year and 2 months old can he eat pears as in the fruit ? And how often?

Fruit is not good for Russians. They cannot digest the sugar in fruits, and it can cause parasite blooms.

I'll echo the above. Russians cannot digest sugars properly, they cause digestive and kidney problems, so fruit, tomato, bell pepper and carrot should only be fed very sparingly and very occasionally - if at all.
