Hey guys I’ve got a question and thought maybe others have come across this as well.. My grocery store sells a package labeled “edible flowers” and from what I’ve found out they are a type of edible orchid. Is this okay for a marginated tortoise to eat? I love giving Shelldon a very wide variety of foods and he has never tried flowers before, but all of my searches have come up empty for this specific type of flower.

If its safe for you to eat, it should also be fine for your tortoise.

@TylerStewart at tortoisesupply.com sells a mix called "herbal hay" Its a whole bag of dried flowers and other tortoise goodness. I've been using it for years and I highly recommend it. https://www.tortoisesupply.com/HerbalHay

The part about them being intended for human consumption is key here.
