Have you ever utilized egg crates as dividers?
Your thoughts on it! Still stressful? I read some turtles still *jazz hands* at each other :(
Of course, two separate basking spots... I also read some turtles CLIMB over!
How do you guys feel about this?

Try to find a retailer that sells plexi glass. I got mine from an aquarium store and it's a drip tray for a sump. You could cut it to size in your tank and silicone it in? You could probably find a paint that's safe in water for use with animals to cover one side up so they can't see each other? Hope to have given some ideas. Good luck! :)

Thanks! :D What I really want to come out o this is being able to share the filter, 'cause they've got a really nice, expensive filter which can keep them clean for months :p
Could I drill holes in the plexi?

Yes you could. :) I'll attach a picture of what my piece looks like to give you an idea of what would work. The more holes, the more water that can pass through. Even cutting small slits could work.

Mine is in a six foot gecko tank, and divides my male and female. I got mine from a sump tray and it had the holes already made. My geckos though learned that they can fit their feet in the holes and climb over so sorry for the bad picture, I had to cover the holes up.

As per the paint to prevent them from seeing each other, I'm going to call the guy who builds my tanks to see what he used inside mine. My one tank is completely black inside and out on all sides except for the front so you can view the inside. It was used as a fish tank previously. So he will know what to use that is safe for fish and turtles.

My piece was cut down to 18" in height from a much bigger piece. I'm sure you can find quite large and inexpensive pieces of plexi glass. I am glad I can help. Now that you're a little inspired I can leave you be, I hope it goes great! :D
