Egg day 80 in incubator.

The egg is fertile but it seems like 80 days in incubator at 88-89 degrees and 80% humidity it’s taking a long time for this guy to finish “cooking” and start to pip. My other fertile egg, different clutch, hatched at 68 days, same conditions. Thoughts?

Could be something wrong, or it could just be taking longer. Nothing to do about it but wait either way.

Yes, I will wait. I'm still seeing veins and the egg is dark at certain angles when candling and there's an air bubble, I'm just surprised it's taking this long when my last fertile egg starting pipping at 68 days.

You could try lightly sprinkling or misting the egg with lukewarm water every day or two to help soften up the egg shell and also to stimulate the baby to try to hatch.

If there are still viens showing when candling, can the embryo be dead? Doesn’t appear to be much development.
