Elderberries

I looked at the african tortoise website and I can't find it on any of the lists. So I was wondering if any of you guys know if it is edible.

Latin name : Sambucus spp.
Family name : Adoxaceae; Caprifoliaceae

All parts of the elderberry are toxic, except the flower. Some parts of the plant are more toxic than others, but they all contain cyanogenic glycosides to some degree and should be avoided.

oh man you're so right! how sad of me to mis-quote such a movie... i guess i'm going to have to watch it again this weekend! i'm glad i'm not the only one who knows it! seems we have a few monty-pythoners on this forum!
