Ipomoea aquatica

I found one thread from 2012 discussing this plant. I'm wondering if anyone has any recent opinions on it? My torts love it. I feed it mixed with grass, hibiscus leaves, cactus, mullberry leaves. It doesn't seem to have any negative effects, and it's easy to propagate. Anyone out there have experience with this plant?

I haven't had it in years but used to eat it in stir fry in Thailand. Perfectly safe for humans but don't know about torts.
