I Have a 36"x16" enclosure for a 3" RF. I have an encandescent and florecent light, but its the Double Dome Light Fixture. So both lights are on the one side of the habitat, which cause one side to be a bit darker than the other side.

My question is should i get another light (florecent, not heat) for the other side of the enclosure? or do they enjoy the dark sometimes?

redfoot's aren't a huge fan of bright lights i'd say your ok as long as the temps are good and humidity is good you should be alright

A double dome light fixture and a fluorescent can only mean that you're using a compact fluorescent (coil style). I just thought I'd point that out since those types of bulbs have been linked to permanent eye damage in torts (as noted by people on this forum).

So, my recommendation is to either switch that fluorescent for a tube style uvb light or get a ceramic fixture rated for a mercury vapor bulb. And like @naturalman91 says, adjust your lighting so that the humidity and temps are "right" and you should be just fine.

Ditto on the coil bulb damaging eyes. We have heard of it happening too many times on here.
