I chose this area to put the Russian tort enclosure because of the elevation, Sun, and good drainage. Also, because of how hard the soil is in the summer. Of course they have their microclimates under the hides, but I noticed how difficult it was for the females to attempt to nests I didn't get any viable eggs last year, but while their down I decided to till this concrete and mix it with play sand in a few areas.
