Enclosure Top

Should I put a top on my enclosure? I have heard yes and no.

It all depends, Timmy.

I have a top on my baby tortoises' enclosures, but not on the enclosures for the bigger tortoises.

My SA leopard tortoises are almost big enough now to come out of the covered enclosure and play with the "big boys."

Yvonne, when you say 'bigger tortoises', do you mean Sulcata big or Russian tortoise adult big? That is, about what size do you not worry about tops.

I don't know about everyone else, but leaving my Russian outside uncovered makes me nervous...

Agreed. Too many predators. It's not worth the risk.
