I have googled extensively but found very little about this issue, maybe you can help.
8 year old Eastern Boxie hybrid, raised since a 6 month old Turtling, always very active, doing a lot of stick and stone Feng Shui in his habitat. About a year ago, he started focusing on just the rocks. Initially thought it was stress related, so did an overhaul of terrarium, turns out he's just hella active.
Well after taking a close look, we've noticed his beak is nearly gone in the front, almost completely worn down. There is no indication of rot, edges of mouth are still sharp, just a little grampa gums action up front.
I know beak grows back eventually, we've removed all edges rocks from the area, but I'd still like to see if anyone has heard of this? All I can find is OVERGROWN beak stuff.
Thanks!!
