"Must sees" @ Rancho Testudo every holiday season, in order of wonderfulness:

1 - "A Christmas Carol" (George C. Scott version)

2 - "A Christmas Carol" (Patrick Stewart version)

3 - "Miracle On 34th Street" (Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn)

4 - "Christmas In Conneticutt" (Barbara Stanwick, Sydney Greenstreet)

5 - Tie between "It Happened on 5th Avenue" (Victor Moore, Charles Ruggles, Don DeFore, Gale Storm) and "Fitzwilly" (**** van Dyke, Barbara Feldon)

Honorable mention: "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians" (John Call, Pia Zadora)

A Muppet's Christmas Carol. It has sentimental value - I used to watch it on Christmas Eve every year with my younger brother, until he grew up and couldn't be bothered any more.

A Christmas Carol has always been my favourite Christmas story/movie, though the Disney one disappointed me. I watched it a few nights ago, and the animation was great but it really lacked emotion - to me, it has to be full of heartache and grief, and then be bright and happy at the end.
