Hi! I´m new to the forums and this is my first post, i just want some feedback on my new work in progress terrarium.

Also, keep in mind that my camera has a bad quality and thus the image seems darker than it is in real life.

More pictures needed as it looks way too small, but I can tell it doesn't look like I'm seeing all of it. If I am seeing all of it, then it is way too small.

Yeah i think its too small too at the moment but i need to keep my tortoise in a smaller terrarium until i have a bigger working terrarium that has the right temperature and humidity :/

What kind of tortoise is that? Any more photos?
Its an bell's hingeback tortoise. And i cant get more photos at the moment but don´t worry, its not a permanent terrarium i´m only using it while i am working on a bigger terrarium, much bigger so he/she (I´m not sure) will be able to roam and explore :D

What's the substrate ?
And i can't see the lights, hope you're not using a coiled or compact UVB.
The hygrometer and thermometers should measure the substrate at tortoise/substrate level.and should be digital.
And it looks a bit dry.
Hope this helps.:)

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

I don't know anything about the care of a Bell's Hingeback tortoise, so I can't help you with your habitat except to say be sure to add moisture to the substrate, and maybe a plant or two.

The substrate is the Zoo Med Premium Repti Bark.

Yeah, my digital hygrometer hasn't arrived and the analog one i bought (Exo terra) is garbage, i litteraly sprayed it with water to test it and it measured 20% (So obviously it does not work)

It could be dry but i don´t think so (Cant know for sure until the hygrometer arrives), i spray the terrarium multiple times a day with water and i have some wet moss inside it.

But yeah, thanks for the advice and i hope i can improve with the next terrarium i make :)

Spraying often doesn't do it.
Poor water directly into the substrate and mix it in by hand.

Yeah the bells hinge-back tortoises needs a high humidity and temperature level, but i spray the terrarium and i have wet moss inside it near the water that i soak regularly.

And i´l take note of putting plants in my next terrarium (The bigger one i´m working on)
