I have a ton of aloe vera cactus in my yard and I was wondering if this is safe for our tortoise to eat? I've looked at a few diet sheets I found on here but I don't see it on any of the lists. Any thoughts?

My guy eats it.
Just feed it in moderation along with all the other good to eat foods. Too much aloe fed too often can cause loose stools.

I got a Beautiful Cactus from the wilds of Texas this weekend!

I finally got a chance to see these Cactus up close and personal in thier wild habitat and they grow like shrubbery in VERY large patches and their bases get positivly HUGE! I got a "Baby" that was on the outer perimater and has about 5 Pads (including the "Root Pad") and a well defined root system (got most of that too!). I was able to harvest 2 or 3 Tunas, but 2 where small and dried up when I cut them open, but one was juicy and bright red... Eros and Gaia had a good breakfast.... they got red smiles today!

Great! Thank you! I will try it and see if he likes it. With moderation in mind of course.
