Hello all. I posted this in the Leo forum as well. I currently keep some chameleons, and as a result have a lot of this silkworm chow available for my silkworms. The worms can and will only eat mulberry leaves or this prepared powder that is later cooked with water to make the chow. I am unsure of the specific ingredients, but am assuming it must replicate mulberry leaves pretty well, because otherwise the worms wouldn't eat it/survive. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had experience feeding this stuff to a tortoise, or if it would be beneficial. It has a high water content, so may be good at least for hydration, but may result in runny stools too. Just curious what others think, and any experience or input is welcome. Thanks

If formulated for silkworms, it would duplicate the nutriates in mulberry leaves and as such wouldn't hurt a tort. Do you have mulberry trees in your area? My torts love the leaves and as such it is a summer staple.
