What kind of filter should I use for a thirty gallon tank. It is only 1/5 of the way full. It is also for an eastern mud turtle

What kind of filter should I use for a thirty gallon tank. It is only 1/5 of the way full. It is also for an eastern mud turtle

How large is the turtle, it's a rule to always have a filter 3x the power flow of what you have for example 20g tank 60g per her but with little water as you mentioned a 30 - 40g should be fine. Turtles are pretty messy they poop and pee in the tank and if you feed them in they're which is also another thing ppl tend to feed they're turtle in a separate container
